we are planning on getting married in California  this coming April (we live in Orange County ). obviously it is difficult for us to coordinate from here we would love for you to set us up a California wedding website- we would like to know what you could suggest and approximate costs. here is a basic idea of what we would like (any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated). we would like a simple, private(ish) no frills wedding that is tasteful and elegant in its simplicity. nothing formal. (no limos, no harps, etc). somewhere pretty- a beach is fine or somewhere with a view. we are expecting about 50 people ( i have about a dozen relatives who live in California }. can be morning, afternoon, or night. we would like to also have perhaps a barbecue or something right after (unless you can suggest a better idea). obviously we do not intend to spend a great deal of money/time on this wedding, but also we want it to be meaningful and reflect our personalities. I am 31 and my fiancé is 27. neither of us care for commercial and cookie cutter things, and want something that is fun, unique and most importantly, us (for instance, we want to give out locals flip flops to all of our guests, and we want to have bowls of candy out like sweet tarts and blow pops etc)...we also both really enjoy good food, so having decent food (aside from the barbecue) would be important (Japanese food). our original plan was to have a wedding ceremony (neither of us are religious, so it will be a short civil ceremony) at my grandmas house , under a tree that my grandfather planted which has special meaning for us, but my grandmas yard is too small, and as she is old doesn't want to have all of the fuss around. we've spent the past two weeks browsing through the millions of wedding planner websites in California  and we are left felling blah. they all seem the same. i know that there is only so much that can be done on a beach wedding etc but perhaps you can help us out...thanks so much and we look forward to hearing from you...
